Jacques Marchand
Fondation de la mode de Montréal

It is with pride that we invite you with your friends, partners and collaborators at the Fondation de la mode de Montréal 29th benefit evening at the Palais des congrès de Montréal on Monday, May 14, 2018.

This year again, a minimum of $100,000 in graduate scholarships and internships will be awarded to the best emerging members from the various fashion schools in Quebec.

The graduates of the LaSalle College International School of Fashion, Arts and Design will present a spectacular fashion show, the result of 18 months of work.

A tribute will be paid to the internationally renowned designer, Ms. Marie Saint Pierre, for her talent, her success and the example she represents for the next generation.

Since 1989, the Fondation de la mode de Montréal, a non-profit and charitable organization, has been promoting fashion training and research to stimulate creativity and better position Montreal in the global competition. It is important for the Fondation to support and motivate the talents of future generations to become the new references on the Montreal fashion scene, at home and abroad, in the years to come.

You can get your tickets by contacting the Fondation de la mode de Montréal at 514 939-4403.

Thank you in advance for your support “To help tomorrow’s stars take their place” and we look forward to welcoming you on May 14th.

Guest of Honor

This year, the Fondation de la mode de Montréal wishes to salute the extraordinary achievement of a unique designer whose career is marked by firsts and exceptional successes. This is the great lady of fashion here, Marie Saint Pierre, whose reputation and achievements far exceed the Canadian borders.

The will of the Fondation’s Board of Directors is to highlight the main achievements of its history, which now spans more than 30 years. Recall that, as a recent graduate of LaSalle College, she was the first Quebecker to be invited to participate in New York Fashion Coterie. This premiere was followed by the launch of several collections, first here and then in Paris, the United States and in Asia. Marie Saint Pierre received the Ordre national du Québec in 2007 and the Order of Canada in 2013.

From the start, she already had her exclusive signature made of avant-garde textures, architectural lines and a neutral color palette. Marie Saint Pierre was from the beginning the designer of women but did not hesitate to create collections for men, even support the launch of a range of fabrics for home and furniture, with just as much happiness.

The Fondation de la mode de Montréal is proud to pay tribute to the accomplished artist, of course, but also to the visionary, to the designer who has always been concerned about the upcoming generation in the country and to the manager who is always invested in supporting the less well off.
